Ira A Silver, Ph.D.
has been involved in economic and business analysis, and forecasting for over thirty years.

Dr. Silver is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Managerial Economics and Economist for the National Auto Auction Association.. He also worked as an Economic Consultant to the G7 Group, a Washington/New York political and economic consulting group, Williamson Dickie, and Granite Properties.

His career started as a Regional Economist with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he forecasted regional industrial output. Dr. Silver then moved on to The Bank of New York, where he was in charge of industry forecasting.

Dr. Silver spent twenty years with JCPenney where he was Chief Economist and managed the global, national, regional, and industry forecasting effort. At JCPenney he also directed strategic planning and worked closely with senior executives to develop business plans that were based on the forecasted economic environment.

Dr. Silver served on the Board of Directors, Audit Committee, and Compensation Committee for PMC Commercial Trust. He also was Senior Retail Analyst for TeleCheck International where he acted as corporate spokesperson with Radio, TV, and print media.

Dr. Silver has taught Business and Economic Forecasting at the University of Dallas and the University of Texas at Dallas, and Economics and Finance at Baruch College, Adelphi MBA on Wheels, and Fordham University.

Dr. Silver has appeared on TV and before numerous companies and professional groups, such as the National Auto Auction Association, BNSF, American Airlines, The Life, Mortgage & Real Estate Officers Council, The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, The Fort Worth Breakfast Club, and Success North Dallas. He has been quoted in publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, and Fortune Magazine. Dr. Silver has a Ph.D. in Economics from The City University of New York and currently resides in Plano, Texas.
